A special commission was this new clinic, specialised in Rolfing Technic, and an advanced therapy for motor disfunction, robotically controlled. A big challenge considering some special condition of the main user. Blind and people with particular mobility matters, such as temporary disabled and handicapped.
Among those premisses, plus activity and legal regulations, the idea should definitely respect both functional and aesthetic aspects, in order to give users a more generous approach to space, mobility and usability.
Our gesture was to consider perceiving the space, throughout the contrast between filled-empty, light-dark, warm-cold...triggering senses by an intentional emphasis on textures, temperatures, colours, shapes. Objective properties that together, originate subjective ones, such as comfort, stillness, care and empathy.
autonomy
A special domotic system, via mobile phone, was designed to cleverly adjust lighting, ar conditioning, audio and video for different scenarios.
FlexibiLITY
Sliding panels can adapt to any kind of use. In “freijó” wood, specially designed to guarantee acoustic isolation and give it a gentle oriental appeal. Its upper part in transparent glass allow natural light defuse from the façades.
MoBILITY

Contrasts
Finishing and lighting contrasts play a fundamental role for making all functional elements suitable for visual recognition, such as switches, sockets, knobs and signage.
TexturEs
An essencial aspect, together with lighting that both our tactic and visual perceptions can easily perceive, enjoy and interact.
